We walked over to the famous Wall Drugstore and checked the place out. It is room after room of STUFF, mostly the same stuff over and over again BUT, we did find the ONE AND ONLY FUDGE shop. We hadn't had fugde since we were on the OR coast a year or so ago so.........in we went! It is delish!
We had dinner at the Wall Drugstore. They have a very limited menu but everything we had there was just wonderful. We had hot roast beef sandwiches with potatoes and gravy. OH MY, it was like eating at Granny's house. SO YUMMY. I said after we got our plates we should have shared one dinner but since both of ate OVER HALF our dinner, it's good we didn't share. We took home donuts to have later. Their donuts are sorta "crunchy" on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside. I don't like donuts like Judy does and "I" thought they were awesome! Good thing we don't live close to that place!
45 miles West of Wall, they started advertising the drugstore with large and medium signs along the road. I'm assuming they did the same thing East of town too. We advertised free water for everyone and free coffee and a donut for Military Vetrans and Honeymooners. Coffee for the rest of us was ONLY 5 cents a cup. LOVE THAT!
I found the history of Wall Drugstore interesting. It was printed in the Guidepost Magazine.
